Well...
I went off and did an illustration like I said. It's not the most interesting or original thing in the world but it's not bad. I just wanted to prove to myself I was still able to use illustrator because it'd been so long. I'm very happy with how those tares on her shorts look because that was a bit of an experiment. The pockets look flat and lame but I don't care.

End of year show.
One of my current projects at college is to make a poster for the end of year show. This is my first idea. It's inspired by Hitchcock movie posters from the 60s and also the title sequence from "catch me if you can" by Kuntzel + Deygas which is actually also inspired by Saul Bass' titles for various Hitchcock films.

mo films
I'm making a film! It's for this mofilms thing. It's only a minute long but its going to be amazing! I had this idea ages ago to make a film about two guys dressed as race car drivers racing on foot down an ally. That was what I planned to make but with very little time I had to change my idea a little, but luckily I came across these awesome things in this little cafe/funky toyshop.
So I thought I'd just mess about with a green screen and make it look like these to racers were driving these tiny cars and then the idea just got better and better. I started to plan out how it would look in my head and I realised that in my head it was basically speed racer but really cheap. I immediately thought of "be kind rewind" and the whole idea of sweded versions of films and the possibilities of how great this could look if its done well just blew my mind. So I watched the behind the scenes stuff on speed racer and everything just came together.
YEAH!
So anyway. I've made some props and taken some pictures of how I want the finished film to look. It will look a lot better then this by the way. A lot better.
